This addendum provides business-oriented data processing wording. It is especially relevant for customers using Eggy software with client, lead, support, portal or CRM data.
1Purpose
This Data Processing Addendum explains responsibilities where personal data is processed through Eggy website services, support workflows, secure downloads or customer-installed software.
2Roles
For the Eggy website, accounts, orders, downloads and support, Eggy may act as a controller of customer account/order data. For data entered into a customer’s own installed copy of Eggy software, the customer usually controls that installed environment.
3Customer-installed software
Self-hosted product installations are normally hosted, configured and controlled by the customer. The customer is responsible for data entered into their own installation, including backups, access control, retention, notices and lawful processing.
4Processing categories
Relevant data may include customer contact data, account data, order records, support messages, download logs, licence certificates, technical logs and product-related troubleshooting information.
5Processing purposes
Data may be processed to provide accounts, deliver downloads, process orders, provide support, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, keep records and comply with legal obligations.
6Third-party processors
Payment processors, hosting providers, email systems, support tools and security/logging providers may be used where necessary to operate the website and services.
7Security measures
Reasonable measures may include access controls, session protection, secure downloads, password hashing, HTTPS support, database controls, logging and restricted administrative access.
8Breach handling
Where a relevant security incident is identified, Eggy will assess the incident and take reasonable steps appropriate to the nature of the incident, affected systems and legal obligations.
9Deletion and return
Account/order records may be retained where needed for legal, accounting, security, dispute and support purposes. Installed software data is controlled by the customer in their own hosting environment.
10Customer responsibilities
Customers must configure their installed software lawfully, protect admin accounts, apply appropriate notices to their own users, manage data retention and comply with privacy laws applicable to their own use.
These legal documents are business templates prepared for the Eggy website and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before final commercial reliance.
