What Premium includes
Eggy BNC remains usable as a free service. Premium is optional and is for users who want extra convenience features while helping support the service.
Premium can include:
- extra user-managed IRC networks
- custom Real Name / GECOS
- Premium IRC Inbox tools
- threaded dashboard message views where enabled
- dashboard replies where supported
- Premium status and billing controls in the dashboard
Extra user-managed networks
Your dashboard shows your current network allowance. Premium unlocks additional user-managed IRC networks. These are the personal IRC networks you add and manage yourself.
The protected Eggy support network is separate. It is a system/support network and should not be treated as one of your personal network slots.
Custom Real Name / GECOS
Real Name, also called GECOS, is visible in many IRC WHOIS replies. Premium users can customise it from the dashboard. Changing it may reconnect the affected user-managed network so the IRC server receives the new identity.
IRC Inbox extras
Premium may unlock richer IRC Inbox tools such as threaded views, hide/restore, read state, and dashboard replies where enabled. Inbox features are privacy-sensitive and should not reveal real private message content in locked previews.
Trial and cancellation
If a 7-day trial is available, the dashboard shows the trial state. If billing is cancelled, Premium remains active until the displayed expiry date. After expiry, the account returns to Free behaviour.
Free accounts remain usable
Premium should unlock extra convenience. It should not punish Free users or remove normal BNC access.
