The protected Eggy support network
Eggy BNC can provide a protected Eggy support/system network. Its purpose is to make support easier and give users a reliable place to reach Eggy help channels.
Typical channels can include:
#Eggy
#Help
It is separate from your own networks
Your user-managed networks are the personal IRC networks you add yourself. The protected Eggy support network is different. It is a support/system connection and should not be treated as a normal personal network slot.
Why it exists
The support network helps users reach help even if they are still learning how to configure other IRC networks. It also gives Eggy BNC a predictable place to provide service notices and support.
Does it count against my allowance?
The protected support network should not be treated as one of your user-managed networks. Your dashboard network limit applies to the personal networks you add and manage.
When to use Webchat
If your IRC client cannot connect yet, use Eggy Webchat:
https://chat.eggy.net
Join #Help and explain what happened. Include your client name, exact error text, and whether the problem is connecting to Eggy BNC or connecting from Eggy BNC to another network.
Support boundaries
Support can help with Eggy BNC account issues, dashboard settings, vhosts, Premium display, and connection format. Support cannot force a third-party network or channel to accept your connection.
