More user-managed networks with Premium

Premium can unlock additional user-managed IRC networks. These are the personal network connections you add and manage from the dashboard.

Examples of user-managed networks include:

• Libera
• DALnet
• EFnet
• a private IRC network
• any other network you add yourself

The exact allowance is shown in the dashboard. Use the dashboard as the source of truth because limits can change over time.

What does not count as a normal user-managed network

The protected Eggy support network is a system/support network. It exists so users can reach Eggy help channels such as #Eggy and #Help. It should not be treated as a personal slot you manage like your own networks.

What happens when Premium expires

If your account has more user-managed networks than the Free allowance when Premium expires, Eggy BNC may place surplus networks into renewal grace. This gives time to renew Premium or reduce your network list without an immediate destructive removal.

The account itself remains Free-capable. Premium expiry should not delete your whole account.

Good practice

Keep only networks you actually use. If a saved network is broken, edit or delete that network from the dashboard. Do not keep retrying a dead server forever.

If you are unsure whether a network counts against your allowance, check the dashboard network count and open a ticket if it looks wrong.
