Eggy Swarm Development Update – Multiplayer, Mobile & October 15th Release
Development on Eggy Swarm has been going very well, and the current game is now in a really solid place.
One of the bigger milestones has been getting the entire current Swarm experience working properly on mobile. All areas of the current Swarm gameplay are now mobile friendly, including the multiplayer gameplay modes.
Multiplayer itself has also come a long way. Players can now form squads, play through full multiplayer operations together, complete shared objectives, fight bosses, revive each other and extract at the end of a run. Mobile multiplayer now has its own game mode handoff and touch controls as well, so it is no longer limited to desktop play.
There is still plenty I want to get finished before the planned October 15th release.
Still to work on before October 15th release:
The core gameplay systems, multiplayer infrastructure, objectives, boss encounters, extraction flow and mobile support are all coming together nicely, so the remaining development time can increasingly focus on adding more variety, progression and replayability.
So far, it’s been going very well, and I’m looking forward to seeing how much more can be packed into Swarm before October 15th.
