This forum is specifically for ideas for brand new Eggy games.
If you have an idea for a completely new game that you think would suit Eggy.net, post it here and explain what you have in mind.
This is separate from normal Suggestions & Feedback, which is better suited to changes, improvements and new features for things that already exist.

- Ideas for how a new Eggy game could work
If your suggestion is about adding something to an existing game, use the normal Suggestions & Feedback forum instead.
For example:
Good for this forum:
- A new Eggy kart racing game
- A new survival game
- A new puzzle game
- A new multiplayer arena game
- A new farming or collection game
Better suited to Suggestions & Feedback:
- Add a new boss to Eggy RPG
- Add another fishing location
- Add a new Swarm weapon
- Add a new Copter boost
- Add another Pool game mode
Explain the idea properly
A thread that only says:
"Make a racing game"
does not give much to work with.
You do not need to write a full design document, but try to explain the idea clearly enough that people can understand what the game would actually be.
Useful things to include are:
- The basic game concept
- What the player actually does
- Whether it is single-player, multiplayer or both
- How a normal game or session would work
- How progression could work
- Whether there would be scores, levels, unlocks or achievements
- What would make it feel like an Eggy game
- Any features you think would make it fun
The more clearly you explain the idea, the easier it is for other members to discuss it properly.
Use a clear thread title
Try to name the type of game you are suggesting.
Good examples:
- Suggestion: Eggy Kart Racing
- New Game Idea: Eggy Tower Defence
- Suggestion: Co-op Dungeon Game
- New Eggy Puzzle Game Idea
- Suggestion: Multiplayer Arena Game
Avoid titles such as:
- New game
- Idea
- What about this?
- Suggestion
- Game idea
You do not need to know how to build it
You are suggesting the idea, not developing the game yourself.
You do not need to know PHP, JavaScript, game engines, databases or how the technical side would work.
If you have a fun idea, explain the gameplay and let the technical side be worked out later.
Original ideas are encouraged
Your suggestion does not have to be something nobody has ever done before.
It is completely fine to suggest an Eggy take on a familiar type of game.
What matters is explaining how you think it could work on Eggy.net and what would make it enjoyable for the community.
Do not expect every suggestion to be built
Posting an idea does not mean the game will automatically be made.
Before a new game can be considered, things such as development time, complexity, server requirements, long-term support and whether enough members would actually play it all have to be considered.
Some ideas may also be good but simply not fit what we are working on at the time.
That does not mean the suggestion was pointless.
Good ideas can influence future projects even if the exact suggestion is never built.
Discussion and feedback
Other members are welcome to reply with:
- Ideas that could improve the concept
- Features they would like to see
- Possible problems with the idea
- Different ways the game could work
- Whether they would actually play it
Keep the discussion constructive.
If you do not like an idea, explain why rather than simply posting that it is bad.
Similar suggestions
Before creating a new thread, have a quick look to see whether somebody has already suggested something very similar.
If there is already an active thread for the same game concept, it is usually better to add your ideas there.
Do not use this forum for bug reports
This forum is only for ideas for new games.
If an existing Eggy game is broken, use the appropriate bug reporting or support area instead.
Give us the weird ideas too
Not every Eggy game needs to be huge or serious.
Some of the best ideas can start with something simple, strange or funny.
If you have an idea and genuinely think people on Eggy.net would have fun playing it, post it.
You never know which suggestion might turn into the next Eggy game.
