If you have figured something out that could save someone else time, improve their gameplay or make a feature easier to understand, this is the place to share it.

You can use Guides & Tips for things such as:

- Beginner tips
- Advanced strategies
- Boss or enemy advice
- RPG build and equipment guidance
- Fishing locations, tackle and catch advice
- Pool strategy and match tips
- Swarm survival, weapon and multiplayer advice
- Copter gameplay tips
- ROM Console usage tips
- Achievement guidance
- Feature walkthroughs
- Useful forum or account tips
- Solutions to common problems that other members may run into
A guide does not need to be huge or complicated.
A short, useful tip can be just as valuable as a full walkthrough.
Use a clear title
Try to make it obvious what your guide is about before someone opens the thread.
Good examples:
- Beginner guide to Eggy RPG equipment
- How to improve your Pool game
- Best places to fish for heavier catches
- Swarm survival tips for new players
- How ROM Console save states work
- Tips for getting further in Eggy Copter
Avoid vague titles such as:
- Guide
- Tips
- Help
- Read this
- Useful info
Clear titles make good guides much easier to find later.
Write for other members
Try to explain things in a way that someone who has not already figured it out can follow.
Where useful, include:
- Step-by-step instructions
- Screenshots
- Examples
- Recommended settings or equipment
- Things to avoid
- Why a particular strategy works
You do not need to make your post sound formal.
Clear and useful is more important than perfect wording.
Keep guides accurate
Please only post information you genuinely believe is correct.
If you are unsure about something, say so rather than presenting a guess as a confirmed fact.
Games and features can also change over time, so older guides may eventually become outdated.
If you notice that one of your guides is no longer accurate, please update it where possible.
Do not post exploits or cheating methods
Guides are for helping members play and use Eggy.net properly.
Do not post instructions for:
- Faking scores or results
- Manipulating leaderboards
- Duplicating items or currency
- Abusing rewards
- Exploiting multiplayer systems
- Bypassing restrictions
- Using bugs to gain an unfair advantage
If you discover an exploit, report it through the appropriate support or bug reporting route instead.
Give credit where it is due
If your guide uses information, screenshots or work created by another member, give them credit where appropriate.
Do not copy somebody else's guide and present it as your own.
If you are improving or expanding on another member's discovery, it is always good practice to mention them.
Discussion is welcome
Unlike the Activity Feed, threads here are normal discussion threads.
Other members are welcome to:
- Ask questions
- Suggest improvements
- Share their own experience
- Point out changes
- Add extra tips
Keep replies useful and respectful.
If you disagree with a strategy, explain why rather than turning the thread into an argument.
Use spoilers where appropriate
Some guides may contain bosses, quests, unlocks or story information that other members have not reached yet.
If a guide contains major spoilers, warn people in the title or use spoiler tags where appropriate.
Major story, boss or unlock details can go here.
Normal gameplay information does not need to be hidden, but use common sense with major discoveries.
Bug reports belong elsewhere
If you have discovered something that is broken, use the appropriate bug reporting or support area.
A guide can explain a legitimate workaround for a known issue, but this forum should not replace an actual bug report.
Help build the knowledge base
The best guides usually come from people who actually play the games and use the site regularly.
If you find a useful strategy, discover a better way of doing something or work out something that was not obvious at first, share it.
What seems obvious to you after figuring it out may save another member a lot of time later.
