Release Eggy Swarm Framework

Official Eggy product or style release.

Eggy Swarm Framework 1.0.0 Released

The new Eggy Swarm Framework 1.0.0 is now available.

This companion add-on should be installed alongside your existing Eggy Swarm 1.0.0 installation.

What does the Framework do?

The Framework provides shared support files for Swarm without increasing the size of the main Swarm package.

This first release includes the fix for the two missing multiplayer audio files. These files are installed directly onto your own server, so there is no dependency on eggy.net, Cloudflare or any remote restore process.

Once installed, Swarm Maintenance should be able to detect the complete media set correctly.

Future upgrades

The Framework will also be used for future Swarm extensions and shared components, including upcoming additions such as:
  • New game modes
  • Additional multiplayer components
  • Shared assets
  • Framework-level fixes and upgrades

You only need to install the Framework once. Future Framework updates can then be installed normally alongside Eggy Swarm.

Multiplayer setup guide

I will also be publishing a Node.js / PM2 setup guide in the support forums shortly to help with getting the bundled Swarm realtime multiplayer service running.

Thanks to everyone testing Eggy Swarm and helping iron out these final release issues. :-)
