After being in development for a little while, Eggy Deep Dig is now available for public testing!

Deep Dig is a mining adventure where you take control of your own drilling machine and venture deep underground in search of valuable minerals, rare treasures and hidden artefacts.

Every expedition offers a different underground environment to explore, with plenty of opportunities to strike it rich or find yourself in serious trouble!

How to play​

Start an expedition, choose your direction and use your drill to break through the terrain.

As you descend, collect valuable minerals and treasures while keeping an eye on your fuel, hull integrity and cargo capacity.

The challenge is knowing when to stop digging! You'll need to successfully extract to secure your haul and earn credits. Push your luck too far and you could lose everything you've collected during that expedition.

Use your earnings to purchase new mining machines, upgrade your equipment and improve your chances of reaching greater depths.

What's included?​

  • Procedurally generated expeditions with different terrain, underground environments and discoveries.
  • Mining machines and upgrades to improve your drilling capabilities, fuel efficiency and survivability.
  • Minerals, treasures and artefacts to discover and collect.
  • Underground hazards, enemies and boss encounters that make deeper expeditions increasingly dangerous.
  • Daily Dig challenges with equal starting equipment for a fair competition.
  • Achievements and challenges with rewards to work towards.
  • Leaderboards and Hall of Fame to compete with other members.
  • Community events where miners can work towards shared objectives.
  • Miner profiles and collections to track your progress.
  • Miners Lounge to chat with other players and share your experiences.
Deep Dig also supports desktop and mobile gameplay, with landscape controls designed for playing on your phone.

Public testing​

The game is still being actively developed, so this is an opportunity for everyone to jump in, explore and help shape the experience.

I'm particularly interested in feedback on gameplay balancing, progression, difficulty, controls and anything that doesn't behave as expected.
