Best-effort service

Terms & Conditions

These Terms apply to your use of Eggy BNC, including the website, dashboard, registration system, IRC BNC service, vHost features, support tools, IRC Inbox features, Premium features, and related services.

Last updated: 12 July 2026

Agreement

By creating an account, using the service, or continuing to access Eggy BNC, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Abuse may result in suspension.

1. The Service

Eggy BNC provides a self-service IRC bouncer platform that allows users to create and manage a BNC account, connect to IRC networks, manage IRC network settings, choose approved vHosts, use dashboard tools, and access related support and account features.

Eggy BNC is provided as a best-effort service. We aim to keep the service stable and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent availability, or compatibility with every IRC network, IRC server, IRC client, channel, bot, or third-party service.

2. User Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity carried out through your Eggy BNC account.

This includes your nickname, ident, vHost choice, IRC network connections, channel activity, private messages, dashboard actions, support requests, and any content or behaviour sent through the service.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your account, allow unauthorised access, or use another person’s account without permission.

3. Email Address and Account Contact

You must provide and maintain a valid, reachable email address that you control and that can receive Eggy BNC service emails, account notices, security notices, support replies, billing notices where applicable, suspension notices, and other important service communications.

You must not register or maintain an account using a fake, fabricated, invalid, unreachable, abandoned, or intentionally bouncing email address. Disposable, forwarding, alias, or relay email addresses may be used only if they reliably receive Eggy BNC service email and remain under your control.

Eggy may require email verification during registration, after an email change, after delivery failures or bounce reports, or where needed for abuse prevention, security, support, account recovery, mail reputation, or service integrity.

If email sent to your account bounces, is rejected, repeatedly defers, cannot be delivered, or appears invalid, Eggy may require you to update and verify your email address. Replacing one invalid, bouncing, or unreachable address with another invalid, bouncing, or unreachable address does not satisfy this requirement.

Accounts that fail to maintain a valid reachable email address after notice may be restricted or suspended. Eggy may also take immediate protective action where an invalid or unreachable email address is connected to abuse, evasion, fraud, security risk, or harm to Eggy’s mail reputation or service reliability.

4. Account Limits, Duplicate Accounts, and Fair Use

Eggy BNC may apply limits to free and Premium accounts, including network limits, feature limits, vHost limits, message limits, account limits, or other service restrictions.

Duplicate accounts are permitted, provided the combined usage across all accounts believed to be operated by the same person remains within the applicable overall quota.

For example, if the free account allowance is 5 user-managed networks, a user operating more than one free account must keep their combined total within that 5-network allowance. If one account has 2 user-managed networks, another linked account may have up to 3 user-managed networks, provided the combined total does not exceed the free allowance.

Premium limits also apply as an overall allowance where accounts are reasonably believed to be operated by the same person. For example, if a Premium allowance permits 10 user-managed networks, linked accounts must not be used to exceed that combined allowance unless Eggy has expressly agreed otherwise.

You must not create or use multiple accounts to bypass free account limits, Premium restrictions, abuse controls, bans, suspensions, network restrictions, moderation decisions, or any other service limitation.

Eggy may use reasonable technical and behavioural indicators to determine whether accounts are likely to be linked. These may include login records, ZNC attach records, IP addresses, user agents, email patterns, IRC network choices, vHost usage, abuse reports, timing patterns, and other operational evidence.

Where Eggy reasonably believes that multiple accounts are being used to bypass limits or enforcement, Eggy may treat those accounts as linked for quota, abuse-prevention, moderation, support, and enforcement purposes. Eggy may restrict features, reduce or lock user-managed network slots, require account consolidation, suspend accounts, or take other reasonable protective action.

5. Acceptable Use

You must use Eggy BNC responsibly and lawfully.

You must not use Eggy BNC for spam, flooding, harassment, threats, abuse, ban evasion, impersonation, phishing, malware, credential theft, illegal activity, network attacks, automated abuse, mass unsolicited messaging, or behaviour that damages Eggy, its users, IRC networks, channels, servers, infrastructure, reputation, or service availability.

You must not use Eggy BNC to evade IRC network bans, channel bans, K-lines, G-lines, AKILLs, network restrictions, channel moderation, or third-party enforcement actions.

6. IRC Networks and Channels

IRC networks, servers, operators, services, channel owners, bots, and channel moderators are third parties and are outside Eggy’s control.

Eggy is not responsible if an IRC network, server, channel, bot, operator, or moderator refuses your connection, disconnects you, bans you, kicks you, restricts you, limits your access, or applies rules against your nickname, ident, vHost, account, behaviour, or connection.

Eggy may change, replace, or recommend IRC server targets where needed to improve connectivity, reduce connection failures, respond to network restrictions, or protect service availability.

Using Eggy BNC does not guarantee access to any IRC network or channel.

7. IRC Network Limits, Operator Reports, and Third-Party Enforcement

IRC networks may apply their own limits, restrictions, bans, throttles, connection limits, clone limits, G-lines, K-lines, channel restrictions, or other enforcement actions. These decisions are outside Eggy’s direct control.

Because Eggy BNC users may connect to third-party IRC networks through Eggy infrastructure, network operators may contact Eggy about abuse, connection-limit issues, ban evasion, spam, flooding, harassment, clone activity, excessive connections, or other conduct affecting their network.

If an IRC network operator, server administrator, channel operator, or other relevant third-party provider reports abuse or policy violations with evidence, Eggy may take action against the related Eggy BNC account or accounts. This may include, but is not limited to:

Warning the user; locking dashboard access; restricting user-managed networks; removing, disabling, or limiting specific IRC networks; changing or limiting vHost access; disabling network creation or editing; requiring the user to resolve the issue with the relevant IRC network; or suspending the account temporarily or permanently.

Eggy may also take protective action where network access by one or more users causes connection limits, host limits, throttling, bans, or other restrictions that affect Eggy, other Eggy users, or Eggy’s ability to provide the service.

Where possible, Eggy may review the available evidence before taking action. However, urgent protective action may be taken without prior notice where needed to protect Eggy’s infrastructure, users, reputation, IRC network access, or compliance with third-party network rules.

Dashboard locking is an access-control measure and does not necessarily mean the BNC account has been suspended. Eggy may use dashboard locking to require Terms acceptance, resolve abuse concerns, enforce limits, complete verification, or prevent further changes while an issue is reviewed.

Using Eggy BNC does not guarantee access to any IRC network, server, or channel. Users remain responsible for following the rules of the IRC networks and channels they connect to.

8. vHosts

Eggy may allow users to choose from approved vHosts or hostname options.

vHosts must not be used for abuse, impersonation, deception, threats, hate, harassment, illegal activity, brand impersonation, network abuse, or any misleading purpose.

Eggy may remove, change, restrict, disable, or refuse any vHost where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, networks, infrastructure, reputation, or compliance with these Terms.

vHost changes may require reconnecting before they become visible on IRC.

9. Premium Features

Eggy may offer Premium features, trials, subscriptions, or paid upgrades.

Premium features may include additional network limits, account features, vHost-related options, RealName/GECOS options, IRC Inbox features, or other dashboard features.

Premium access does not guarantee access to third-party IRC networks or channels, and it does not allow users to bypass Eggy rules, IRC network rules, channel rules, abuse controls, or account limits outside the Premium plan.

If a Premium subscription is cancelled, expires, fails payment, or is otherwise ended, the account may be downgraded and Premium-only features may be removed, limited, disabled, reset, or locked according to the account’s entitlement status.

10. Support

Eggy may provide support through dashboard tickets, support pages, IRC support channels, or other listed support routes.

Support is provided on a reasonable-effort basis. Eggy does not guarantee support for every IRC network, IRC client, script, bot, channel rule, third-party service, or user-side configuration issue.

11. Logs, Data, and Privacy

Eggy may process account data, technical data, dashboard activity, login records, network settings, vHost settings, support requests, payment status, IRC Inbox data where enabled, system logs, helper logs, and other operational records needed to provide, secure, debug, improve, and protect the service.

Eggy may retain, rotate, archive, or delete logs and historical records according to operational, security, support, abuse-prevention, storage, and legal requirements.

Eggy may retain operational evidence relating to abuse reports, network operator complaints, duplicate-account reviews, enforcement decisions, Terms acceptance, and support investigations where needed to protect the service or resolve disputes.

Personal data and privacy-related handling should be read together with Eggy’s Privacy Policy where available.

12. Security

You must not attempt to access another user’s account, interfere with Eggy systems, probe or attack the service, bypass restrictions, exploit bugs, abuse helper actions, tamper with dashboard requests, or attempt unauthorised access to files, databases, services, servers, or infrastructure.

If Eggy reasonably believes an account is compromised, abusive, unsafe, or being used in breach of these Terms, Eggy may reset access, restrict features, force reconnections, disable networks, suspend the account, or take other protective action.

13. Suspension and Termination

Breaking these Terms may result in action against your account.

Depending on the severity, this may include warnings, dashboard locking, feature restrictions, vHost removal, network removal, forced reconnects, temporary suspension, permanent suspension, account removal, or refusal of future access.

Accounts may also be restricted, dashboard-locked, network-limited, suspended, or terminated where IRC network operators, server administrators, channel operators, or third-party providers report abuse or policy violations with evidence, or where account activity causes connection limits, host limits, network restrictions, or reputational harm affecting Eggy or other Eggy users.

Serious abuse, repeated rule-breaking, ban evasion, multiple-account abuse, illegal activity, service attacks, harassment, spam, flooding, or behaviour that risks Eggy’s infrastructure, users, reputation, mail reputation, deliverability, or network access may result in immediate suspension without prior warning.

Accounts may also be suspended if the registered email address is invalid, unreachable, bouncing, abandoned, or not verified after notice or a required verification period.

Dashboard locking is an access-control measure and does not necessarily mean the BNC account has been suspended. Eggy may use dashboard locking to require Terms acceptance, resolve abuse concerns, enforce limits, complete verification, or prevent further changes while an issue is reviewed.

Eggy may keep suspended accounts or related records where needed for abuse prevention, evidence, security, support history, or service protection.

14. Service Changes

Eggy may update, modify, add, remove, rename, restrict, or discontinue features where needed to improve the service, protect infrastructure, reduce abuse, manage costs, maintain compatibility, or support future development.

Eggy may also update limits, vHost availability, dashboard features, Premium features, support routes, registration flow, network handling, or technical behaviour as the service evolves.

Eggy may correct account, network, vHost, or dashboard records where needed to keep the dashboard, database, and live BNC configuration consistent.

15. Availability and Liability

Eggy is provided on a best-effort basis.

Eggy is not responsible for third-party IRC network outages, server bans, channel bans, moderation actions, missed messages, client configuration issues, DNS issues, routing issues, user-side connection problems, temporary downtime, data loss outside retained records, or restrictions imposed by IRC networks, channels, operators, bots, hosts, or other third parties.

You use Eggy BNC at your own responsibility.

16. Changes to These Terms

Eggy may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

Where Eggy makes material changes, users may be required to accept the updated Terms before continuing to access the dashboard. If acceptance is required, dashboard access may be blocked until the latest required Terms version has been accepted.

If a user does not accept the updated Terms, they may log out. Logging out does not by itself suspend, delete, disconnect, or disable the user’s BNC account, but the user may be unable to access the dashboard until acceptance is completed.

Eggy may record acceptance of updated Terms, including the account username, user ID, account email, accepted Terms version, timestamp, IP address, user agent, and related technical details needed to prove acceptance and protect the service.

Continued use of Eggy BNC after changes are published, or acceptance of updated Terms where required, means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Contact

For questions, support, or account issues, use the official Eggy support route provided on the website or dashboard.
