This forum is for showing off the things you have done, found, created or achieved across Eggy.net.
If you have a screenshot, a ridiculous game moment, a new personal best, a rare catch, a good-looking aquarium, an RPG loadout, a Pool result or something else you simply want other members to see, this is the place for it.
What belongs here?
You can use Screenshots & Showcase for things such as:
- Gameplay screenshots
- High scores and personal bests
- Achievement unlocks
- Rare or funny game moments
- Eggy RPG characters, equipment and loot
- Fishing catches and aquariums
- Copter distances and scores
- Pool results and memorable matches
- Swarm runs, arenas, characters and multiplayer moments
- ROM Console screenshots and progress
- Collections and completed goals
- Forum customisation you want to show off
- Creative Eggy-related work
- Funny screenshots from around the site
You do not need to have achieved something massive for it to be worth posting.
Sometimes the funniest or most interesting screenshots are the ones where everything went completely wrong.
Activity Feed and Showcase are different
The Activity Feed automatically records supported gameplay events as they happen.
Screenshots & Showcase is where you choose what you want to share.
For example, Robo Eggy might automatically report that you completed a Copter run, but you can still post your own screenshot here if you want to show the actual run, talk about it or challenge other members to beat it.
Activity Feed threads are read only.
Threads here are normal community threads, so members can reply, react and talk about what you have posted.
Give your thread a useful title
Try to make the title say what people are about to see.
Good examples:
- My new Copter personal best
- 17.49 lb Common Carp at Willow Creek
- Finally defeated this RPG boss
- My current Trophy Aquarium
- Swarm run went completely wrong
- My latest ROM Console progress
Avoid titles such as:
- Look
- LOL
- Screenshot
- Guess what
- Check this out
A clear title makes the forum much easier to browse.
Do not fake results
If you are showing a score, achievement, match result, catch, item or other gameplay accomplishment, it should be genuine.
Do not deliberately edit screenshots to make it look like you achieved something you did not.
Do not post fabricated scores, fake leaderboard positions or altered game results and present them as real.
Joke edits and memes are fine when they are obviously being posted as a joke.
Do not use this forum to report bugs
If your screenshot shows something that is genuinely broken, please use the correct bug reporting or support area.
You are welcome to share funny visual glitches here afterwards, but a showcase thread should not be relied on as the actual bug report.
A proper bug report should explain:
- Which game or feature is affected
- What you were doing
- What you expected to happen
- What actually happened
- Whether you can reproduce it
Be considerate with spoilers
Screenshots can reveal bosses, quests, locations, unlocks or other content that another player has not reached yet.
If your post contains a major spoiler, use a spoiler where appropriate.
Place major story, boss or unlock screenshots here.
You do not need to hide normal gameplay, but use common sense around major discoveries or story content.
Respect other people's privacy
Before posting a screenshot, check what else is visible in it.
Do not accidentally publish things such as:
- Private messages
- Email addresses
- Personal information
- Account details
- Private staff areas
- Anything another member reasonably expected to remain private
Crop or cover sensitive information before posting.
Credit things that are not yours
If you are showing artwork, a design, mod, graphic or other creation made by somebody else, give them credit where appropriate.
Do not present another person's work as your own.
Keep it suitable for the community
Do not post pornography, graphic gore or other material that is unsuitable for a general community forum.
The normal Eggy.net rules still apply here.
Do not flood the forum
You do not need to create a separate thread for every screenshot from the same session.
If you have several related screenshots, put them together in one thread where that makes sense.
For example, a collection of screenshots from one Swarm run or several pictures of your aquarium will usually work better as a single showcase thread.
Have fun with it
This forum is meant to be the visual side of the community.
Post the things you are proud of.
Post the things that made you laugh.
Post the ridiculous score, the rare fish, the lucky loot drop, the close Pool match or the run where you somehow survived far longer than you expected.
And if Robo Eggy already exposed what happened in the Activity Feed...
you might as well bring the screenshots.
