How to reconnect or jump servers

You can reconnect a single ZNC network without restarting Eggy BNC.

Disconnect and reconnect:

/msg *status Disconnect
/msg *status Connect

Jump or reconnect to another configured server:

/msg *status Jump

This is not a service restart

These commands affect your current network context. They do not restart the whole Eggy BNC service and should not affect other users.

When to use reconnect

Reconnect after changing server settings, vhost, Real Name/GECOS, or when a network has become stuck.

Dashboard reconnects

The dashboard may reconnect a user-managed network automatically after certain changes so the IRC server receives the updated identity or settings.

If reconnect fails

Check the server, port, SSL/TLS setting, and network policy. Open a ticket with the exact failure line if it keeps failing.
