Read First: Suspensions, Restrictions & Appeals

If your Eggy Network account has been suspended or restricted, you may submit an appeal in this forum.

An appeal gives you the opportunity to ask staff to review the action taken against your account. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that a suspension, restriction or other enforcement action will be removed.

Each appeal is reviewed individually based on the available account information, service activity, payment history, previous enforcement and the explanation you provide.

What can enforcement relate to?

Eggy Network enforcement is not limited to one service.

A suspension or restriction may relate to any part of the Eggy Network, including:

• Eggy products, add-ons, styles or downloads
• Eggy BNC and IRC-related services
• Premium services, subscriptions or trials
• Payments, invoices or transactions
• Fraudulent or suspicious purchasing activity
• Chargebacks, payment reversals or disputes
• Abuse of bugs, technical errors or payment-processing glitches
• Receiving or retaining access to paid products or services where payment was not successfully completed
• Account sharing or unauthorised account use
• Abuse, harassment or serious misconduct
• Misuse of Eggy Network services
• Attempts to bypass restrictions or enforcement
• Breaches of our Terms & Conditions or other applicable rules

This list is not exhaustive.

Serious misuse of one Eggy Network service may result in restrictions being applied to other services associated with the same account.

What is an account suspension?

A suspension means that access to some or all Eggy Network services has been disabled.

Depending on the circumstances, this may affect:

• Your Eggy Network account
• Purchased products or downloads
• Product updates or support
• Eggy BNC services
• IRC network connections
• Premium services
• New purchases
• Trials or promotions
• Other Eggy Network features

A suspension may be temporary, indefinite or permanent depending on the seriousness of the issue.

Submitting an appeal does not automatically make an account eligible for reinstatement.

What is an account restriction?

A restriction allows some parts of your account to remain available while specific features or services are disabled.

Examples may include restrictions on:

• Making new purchases
• Starting Premium trials
• Downloading or updating products
• Accessing particular Eggy services
• Using Eggy BNC
• Adding, editing or reconnecting IRC networks
• Changing vHosts
• Using specific account features

Restrictions may be temporary, indefinite or remain in place until a review has been completed.

Do not attempt to bypass a restriction using another account, IRC commands, alternative payment methods, technical workarounds or any other method.

Payment and purchase-related enforcement

Some enforcement actions may relate to payments or purchases.

Examples include:

• A payment being reversed after a product or service has been supplied
• A chargeback or payment dispute being opened
• Fraudulent or unauthorised payment activity
• Repeated failed payments
• Exploiting a technical problem that gives access without successful payment
• Continuing to use a paid service after becoming aware that payment did not complete correctly
• Attempting to manipulate trials, discounts or promotions

We understand that genuine payment and technical errors can happen.

If you believe your account has been restricted because of a genuine mistake, payment-processing problem or technical fault, explain this clearly in your appeal.

BNC and service abuse

Eggy BNC is one part of the wider Eggy Network and may also be subject to enforcement.

Examples include:

• Abuse of IRC networks through the service
• Using Eggy BNC for prohibited or malicious activity
• Attempts to bypass network restrictions
• Misuse of vHosts, connections or network functionality
• Deliberately disruptive activity
• Attempts to interfere with the service or other users
• Breaches of Eggy BNC or Eggy Network rules

How to submit an appeal

Create one new thread in this forum and include:

1. Your Eggy Network username

2. Whether your account is suspended, restricted or otherwise under enforcement

3. The reason or message shown to you, if one was provided

4. Which Eggy service, purchase or feature appears to be involved

5. A clear and honest explanation of what happened

6. Why you believe the decision should be reviewed

7. Any relevant circumstances staff should be aware of

8. Any steps you have taken to resolve the issue or prevent it happening again

If the matter involves a purchase or payment, provide enough information for staff to identify the transaction without posting sensitive payment information publicly.

False, deliberately incomplete or misleading information may result in the appeal being declined.

Appeal rules

• Submit only one appeal for the same enforcement action.

• Do not create additional accounts to bypass enforcement.

• Do not attempt to regain restricted features through technical workarounds.

• Do not repeatedly contact staff privately asking for a faster decision.

• Do not ask another person to submit an appeal on your behalf.

• Keep replies respectful, truthful and relevant.

• Reply within your existing appeal thread if more information is requested.

• Do not create repeated appeals simply because you disagree with the outcome.

• Do not threaten chargebacks, payment disputes or other action in an attempt to force a particular appeal result.

Previous account history, previous enforcement and repeated behaviour may be taken into consideration.

Protect your private information

Do not post:

• Your Eggy Network password
• IRC network passwords
• Connection strings containing passwords
• Authentication tokens
• Email account passwords
• Full debit or credit card details
• Banking details
• Security codes
• Private authentication credentials
• Full private IP addresses unless specifically requested by staff
• Any other unnecessary confidential information

Eggy Network staff will never ask you to publicly post your password or full payment credentials.

What happens after you appeal?

An authorised staff member will review the circumstances surrounding the enforcement action.

This may include reviewing:

• Account activity
• Service usage
• Purchase and payment records
• Previous warnings or enforcement
• Technical logs
• Relevant reports or evidence
• Information provided in your appeal

You may be asked for additional information before a decision is made.

Possible outcomes include:

• The suspension or restriction being removed
• Some restrictions being removed while others remain
• Access being restored subject to conditions
• The original enforcement remaining unchanged
• Additional restrictions being applied where further concerns are discovered
• Permanent suspension in serious, fraudulent, abusive or repeated cases

Appeals may also be closed if they are duplicated, abusive, intentionally misleading, unrelated to enforcement or submitted by someone other than the account holder.

Appeal review times

Appeals are reviewed when an authorised staff member is available to properly investigate them.

There is no guaranteed review time.

Repeated replies, duplicate threads or private messages will not make an appeal move faster.

Please monitor your original appeal thread for any response or request for further information.

Attempts to bypass enforcement

Attempting to bypass a suspension or restriction may result in stronger enforcement being applied to associated accounts, services or Eggy Network access.

If you believe an enforcement action is incorrect, use the appeal process instead of attempting to work around it.

By submitting an appeal, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you understand an appeal is a request for review, not a guarantee that the original decision will be changed.
